*SALARY RANGE

$54,560 - $73,205 (based on levels of education and years of experience)

*Ad Valorem - 2.40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries.  The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee’s supplement is the employee’s salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university
• Valid LA teaching certificate or the ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements. Special Education certification.
• A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn
• Excellent attendance record
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices
• Positive interpersonal skills
• Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performances and/or residency

* This individual will exhibit skills and the ability to work effectively with students, staff, parents and the community.

*  Possible classroom assignment: Significant Disabilities, Resource, or Inclusion.
